This year I discovered Pandora style bracelets. I would never have purchased an actual Pandora...I do love them, but they are soooo expensive... but, I discovered them being sold on Etsy... so I researched and found sources and soon it was raining beads in my mailbox... I think I know how the pirates felt when their eyes lit up at the site of the booty they'd stolen... pieces of eight, pearls, diamond, emeralds... ah, yes.. because that is how I felt looking at all those beads... Now.. I'd always known I loved shiny things.. glitter me, please!  But this new joy just took over and I began making bracelets day and night... and ordering more beads so that I could make different combinations... I had the fever...

 Well, that fever led me to explore facebook and Etsy and Artfire and... well, you get my drift... and soon I discovered wire... it was everywhere!  Wire wrapped cabochons, wire in the form of jump rings magically transformed into chain maille and Byzantine necklaces and bracelets... at first it was just wire.. I wanted to hammer it and bend it and transform it... No, I told the nice lady at the bead store.. I'm just looking for wire and patterns.. I'm not interested in beading... famous last words... now I think my stacks of wire and beads are as tall as me!

I have never had so much fun in my life... The wire fever started in June... and it's still burning... I need 84 hours in a day because I have so much to catch up on.  I want to learn how to make pretties from rock... I'm looking for a saw, but truly it's the polishing that I'm looking forward to... and learning to make my own glass beads... there is someone not too far away that teaches glass bead making... and I have plans... as I go to sleep each night I see pictures form in my mind...
