Treasure!

Treasure = Gold, Gems & Pearls... We know this because every pirate treasure chest in every movie has been heaped and spilling over with .... gold, gems and pearls!!! If you aren't convinced just check out the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland in Anaheim and tell me that your heart doesn't skip a beat and then race at the sight.

Rarity adds to the value of gems, but man has added to their value with myth. We imbue them with power. We use them for healing, spiritually and scientifically (laser). They enchanted us long before the cuts that revealed a greater beauty.

One of my favorite stones is the Amethyst. I fell in love at first site of a geode... a rock egg lined with rough Amethyst. It may look regal but what is it really? Quartz. Quartz with trace amounts of iron. It's the most valuable of the quartz family...and the color can range from deep purple, light lilac, lavender or mauve. The amount of iron determines the depth of the purple. color. It might surprise you to know that most natural gemstones sold today are treated to bring out their beauty. Amethyst are often heat treated.

What legend surrounds Amethyst? It's said that wearing this stone can ward off drunkenness! It's also been used for treating headaches and sleeplessness. For those who believe, it's a healing stone. A stone of Love, Peace, Spiritual Uplifting, Courage, Psychic strengthening, protection against thieves, and enrichment of happiness. Blue Dove Treasures is Open!!!

The Blue Dove is now open!

In the planning since March 2008, Blue Dove Treasures is now on-line and open for business!! After trading on Ebay for a few months as Dragonfly-Treasures, we've finally launched it's big sister!

Blue Dove Treasures was conceived to bring joy. I searched for products that would not be found in every catalog. My focus was to bring surprise and joy...with my object being to give a lift to a woman's soul. Equally important in my design idea was to strive for exellent customer service.

In the Ladies Apparal catagory my goal was to present Petite and Plus Size ladies with some different options. I haven't left out the Misses sizes. I will be ordering limited quantities in Ladies Apparal because I am searching for style and quality at the best prices.

Jewelry. What can I say? I love sparkling baubles. In my experiments with Ebay, the Jewelry catagory was the most active. I know it's the most fun for me. I can shop for style and price and not worry quite so much with sizes. Necklaces and earring basically know no size. Rings in yellow and white gold are easy to size. Those can usually be adjusted up or down by two ring sizes. I don't provide ring sizing, but I do provide prices that are so fair you can easily take your purchase to your local jewelry and them do the resizing and still save over the purchase price elsewhere!
