It's not easy to be seen

It's all about surprises.

This entertaining gentleman at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii was a firemaker. He managed to accomplish his difficult task and be witty at the same time. In the photo at the left he as a bit of smoke going... that's about as far as I have gotten in the last year. A bit of smoke, promising fire.

My mind is ping-ponging with ideas to stimulate growth.

The title of this blog is "It's not easy to be seen"... my theme song for the day, sung to the melody of "It's not easy being green". But you have to be seen to get green. See how my mind works? One thing pinging off another.

Some sites offer free ads. Some offer to trade reviews. It seems the sites making the most money right now are the sites that tell you how to make money. I want to do more than make money with my sites. Sure, I need a bit of the green stuff. The green feeds the site to buy more stock and more advertising...to pay the low "overhead" of hosting and I could use a bit of jingle in my pockets. But what I had in mind when I started is what is printed on the back of my business card.
Blue Dove Treasures is all about little surprises. Small quantities of handpicked items chosen to brighten your day, give you a lift, bring forth a tiny gasp of  joy. We believe every woman still has the spirit of a child inside that craves a little magic...an occasional surprise... a magic box that holds something new each time it's opened...We are dedicated to encouraging the sould of women everywhere.

That is why the site exists. That is why I beat the bushes for good deals and keep my prices low. That is why my accountant raised his eyebrow at me over his glasses at my tax appointment this year. It's more than money. The spirit of the site is to encourage and uplift and make wonderful things affordable. That's why I get emails asking "Are your diamonds real or CZ?"  I guess I must be doing something right when a shopper thinks my prices are too good to be true. My diamonds are real. The energy behind the site is real.

I hope the fire is close behind the current smoke. I hope it's like "pay it forward" and spreads in the ture manner of a wild fire.

Branching out....

It's spring and the roadside flowers are blooming. Wild Lilacs decorate the hills with purple. California poppies shout their beautiful orange color.  Fruit trees have begun to flower and bud. Everything is growing again.

All that growth reminded me to tell you all how Blue Dove Treasures is growing. The wonderful prices on the jewelry will stay. (Some of you have emailed me with questions about our jewelry not believing it's "the real thing" at that price...but it is... I just don't mark mine up as high as most places...). We'll have some "gently used" clothing in a "Recycle Shop". We've added some handbags and dressy backpacks as well as some belts. Those were exciting finds and I think you'll all enjoy the prices!

We've also added a great new find... Remote Totes!  I think almost everyone has an alarm remote for their car. If you do you've either experienced that little plastic loop that attaches it to your car keys breaking or it's waiting for a inconvenient moment some time in the future. My husband's just broke and we spent a day looking for something that we could put it in to reattach it. We didn't find anything in any of the stores we visited, but it lead to a great discovery later!
Remote Totes are made of Genuine Leather and manufactured right here in Southern California.
Drop on by the website and take a look!

Remote Totes!

Those handy little car alarm remotes are wonderful until their plastic loop breaks and they become separated from your car keys. It happened to us just recently, and we found a great little product that seems a perfect solution: Remote Totes!

Encase that alarm remote with this leather sleeve and it's protected from water if dropped in the rain or enjoyed by a teething toddler. The clear window allows you to use the remote while the buttons are being protected from wear and tear. The value of the product is further enhanced when you realize that it can prevent sensitive remotes from disarming your alarm while being carried in your pocket or handbag!

You can check out the blue one here. Remote Totes

They even come in different sizes (small, medium, large) and colors (black, tan, blue, navy blue, gray, red, pink)!
Check them all out here. Best of all they are only $12.99

The remote compartment of a small Remote Tote is 2 1/4" x 1 3/4" and fits most GM, Saturn, Ford, Mazda, Corvette and Isuzu remotes.

The remote compartment of a medium Remote Tote is
2 1/2" x 1 3/4" and fits most GM, Honda and Corvette remotes.

Large measures
2 3/4" x 1 1/2" and fits most Infinity, Toyota, Dodge, Chrysler, Nissan and Jeep remotes.

While Remote Totes doesn't guarantee to fully protect your remote from damage, they only claim to protect it.
